"Your value is in how you give, not what you receive."

Joshua Adkinson is a dedicated marketing and media professional with a passion for creativity, leadership, and community service. As a Marketing and Creative Media Assistant at P31 Home, Joshua specializes in content creation, digital marketing, brand identity consulting, and performance monitoring. His keen eye for design and strategy allows him to contribute to campaign collaboration, event coordination, and market research.

Currently a student at Banning Lewis Preparatory Academy, Joshua is actively pursuing business and marketing studies while excelling as a varsity football player and a committed member of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), going so far as to compete at the state level for business procedures. His leadership extends beyond the classroom and field—he previously served as a youth football coach, mentoring young athletes and leading specialized training sessions.

Joshua’s dedication to community service is evident in his philanthropic initiatives. He supports dozens of small businesses and nonprofits that P31 Home partners with through his time, expertise, and labor. He is a key contributor to the development of our collaborative book series, addressing challenging life topics, and is involved in launching a foundation which will provide support to victims of trauma and abuse.

An athlete, mentor, and creative professional, Joshua embodies discipline, teamwork, and innovation in every aspect of his work.

"What you do for a living is one thing, but how you help and serve others is everything."

Vanessa served her country in the United States Marine Corps during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. She then completed undergraduate studies in Criminal Justice and Human Services, as well as graduate studies in Psychology. She went on to serve her city as a law-enforcement officer and has experience in crisis intervention, trauma-informed training, crisis negotiations, criminal investigations, court procedures, working with mobile mental health teams, and as a domestic violence subject matter expert. She recently retired from Law Enforcement due to a line-of-duty injury. She is a passionate Justice facilitator and aspires to help lawmakers create laws that are victim-centered, trauma-informed, and best for society.

She holds several leadership positions in the business and volunteer communities, provides training for nonprofits and businesses, is a mentor to both youth and adult professionals, and is a well-known people connector. Vanessa‘s most popular public speeches include discussing subjects of “Resilience through Adversity”, “Going from Victim to Survivor”, “Understanding What Love Is and What It Isn’t,” and other topics related to domestic violence, trauma, abuse, setting healthy boundaries, mental health, and substance abuse issues.

Vanessa is a philanthropist and advocate at heart. She is an advisor and sits on multiple nonprofit boards and supports dozens of other groups through philanthropy and mentorship. She is passionate about creating this collaborative book series to help provide real advice and strategies from people who have experienced these difficult life issues or have significant educational and professional knowledge that can provide real help to real people navigating real crises to help create safer homes.

She framed P31 Home to create a safe space where a professional could meet with her and collaborate on a project or charity event, etc., but also have an honest conversation if they need help with a personal or professional situation going on in their life without judgment or concern for professional blowback. Vanessa is who the helpers go to when they need help.
